Abstract
This thesis examines the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Model in improving the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students on the landslide material of natural science subjects. The purpose of this study was to determine how the application of the CTL learning model in improving student of fifth class learning outcomes on landslide material of natural science subject at SDN Posilagon. The research was field research. It was applied to a qualitative research method. The subjects of the study were fifth-grade students and natural science teacher at SDN Posilagon. Data collection methods were primary data and secondary data sources. Data processing techniques were applied to data processing and data analysis. The results showed that applying the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Model encourages students to be more active and creative in getting teacher explanation and can help students associate the material to their daily lives. ix Key Words : learning outcomes, contextual teaching and learning model
